This app was developed at a major University for use as a way to record an Ophthalmologic Exam at the bedside or in the emergency department (away from the eye clinic). The app includes finger drawings in up to 7 colors for various visual aspects of the eye exam. Twenty patient exams can be stored for later retrieval. Additionally the paid version includes an electronic record consisting of the text form of the patient encounter as well as a “.jpg” image of the entire patient record that can be e-mailed to yourself or colleagues for documenting findings at non-office locations. The text output can easily be imported into your current electronic medical record and the image of the patient encounter (jpg) can also be easily imported into an electronic medical record.

The paid version adds data pickers for many fields to speed the data entry process. The picker data can be added to or customized by the user by simply editing the picker data in settings. The entire exam image can be e-mailed as well as a textual summary that can be parsed electronically or manually entered into an EMR.
